In 1999 the Ski Area Citizens Coalition (SACC) formed to assess ski resorts on their environmental practices. As an independent entity, SACCs goal was to establish criteria for sustainable practices in the ski industry and measure the compliance of individual resorts.
49This study presents how a group of large ski resorts across the world disclose their environmental and sustainability practices. Based on information from annual reports, sustainability reports and websites, the measures disclosed are assessed.
